What we do with your data

Short and without legal jargon: this is what leasechange.be keeps about you, why, and how to get rid of it.

Last updated on 1 September 2026.

Who is behind this

Leasechange.be is built and run by Sina Chitgar.

Questions, or to have your data corrected or erased: sinachitgar924@gmail.com or 0468 04 07 44. You get an answer from the same person who builds the site.

What we keep, and why

Only what is needed to make the marketplace work. Nothing more.

  • For an account: your email address, your company name and your company number. Your password is stored encrypted and is readable by no one, including us.
  • For a contract: the leasing company, the monthly payment, the remaining term, the mileage allowance, the odometer reading, make and model, the fuel, your town, what the contract includes, and the photos you upload.
  • For a takeover request or a search: your name, your email address, optionally your phone number and your message.
  • For a question through the contact form: the same.
  • Technical: our hosting provider keeps short logs of visits, as every website does. They contain no names.

What is public, and what is not

A listing shows the details of the contract, the photos and the name of the company offering it. That last part so a candidate knows who they are dealing with.

Your company number and your phone number only appear if you tick that yourself when publishing. By default they are off.

Your email address is never public. It is only exchanged at the moment you reply to a request yourself.

Anyone who requests a takeover or leaves a search is visible to no one except the transferor of that contract and the administrator.

Who we share it with

We sell nothing on and give nothing to advertisers. There are no ad networks and no trackers on the site.

To run the site we work with three providers, which process the data only on our instructions:

  • Vercel, for running the website and for the visitor statistics. The servers are in Frankfurt.
  • Supabase, for the database and storing the photos.
  • Resend, for sending the emails, such as the notification that a takeover has been requested.

How long we keep it

Your account and your contracts stay as long as you leave them there. If you delete a listing, its photos go with it.

Takeover requests and searches are kept as long as they are useful to help you further, and no longer than two years.

If you ask for everything to be erased, that happens within a month.

Cookies

There is not a single cookie on the public pages. No advertising, no tracking, no profiles.

We do count how many people view which page, using Vercel Analytics. That happens without a cookie: nothing is stored on your device and you are not followed from page to page. We only see numbers, not who you are.

If you log in, one cookie is set to keep you logged in. Without that cookie logging in does not work. Logging out removes it.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or object to its use. You may also request it in a readable file to take elsewhere.

Just ask via sinachitgar924@gmail.com. There is no form and no procedure.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

If something changes

If what we keep or how we use it changes, we update this page and the date at the top changes. If it is something significant, you will be notified.
