We deliberately put no amount here. No Belgian leasing company publishes its termination formula, and the percentages circulating online come from Dutch private lease — a different market and a different contract. Inventing a figure would look precise and rest on nothing. What your settlement is actually made of:
- The remaining rentalsOr part of them. This is usually the largest share, and it is exactly the amount shown next to this.
- The shortfall in valueThe gap between the residual value written into your contract and what the car is really worth today. A car loses most of its value in the first years, so ending early makes this part bigger.
- Administration and handling feesWhat the leasing company charges for processing it. Often also a settlement of kilometres driven over or under the agreed limit.
